Conan TBS

His show, Like Lopez, is only on 4 nights a week. TBS and several other cable channels, like to follow that scheduling model, treating Friday night as the first of a 3-day weekend, and therefore not a 'weeknight'.

Yes - The Daily Show and Colbert are the same. Friday night is really a weekend night, after all, and I imagine viewership drops way off. In an era in which the Big 3 networks have more of less given up airing original programming in Saturday prime time, and the available audience is divided up in so many small percentages, this kind of programming makes sense.

I was somewhat surprised by the no Friday show as well, but I guess I understand. The cable universe does seem to have their own rules. In a strange way, this might actually help Conan, making his shows more valuable.
 
TBS should air old reruns of TCC the Chimp Channel on Friday nights, or perhaps produce some new episodes.
That would be good.
