Concerns about Lubbock TX JACK FM

KJDL confirmed this morning that they are planning on broadcasting high school football games on 105.3 JACK FM.

More and More, this JACK FM we have in Lubbock is starting to not feel like a true JACK. Exactly who am I going to listen to when there's sports on JACK? Kinda misses the point, doesn't it?

The management/ownership thinks "the point" is to MAKE MONEY.

You're right, good enough for me...

BTW: JACK is up and running at full power and in Stereo in Lubbock TX now (although there seems to be some processing issues with the right channel). But I expect all the little stuff will be polished over time.

Wow, JACK is everywhere now, even here!

Lubbock TX JACK FM building steam!

New signal's up,
People are tunning in,
Tech students are listening,
105.3's pumping TV ads.

JACKTM has arrived, he's taking names, and taking over Lubbock!

L  L
Actually, the FCC says my Jack is almost three times the size of your Jack. :p Right, Jack?

Well, you know what they say, "Its not the size of the hood, but what's underneath it!" ;D

Well, lets talk about 2000ft of steel with at least a 10ft face (big enough for an elevator).....vs a 700ft tower with a 3ft face?? and the coverage of KHJK vs 105.3??? Yep, BIGGER is better in Texas...especially near Houston :)

Is 105.3 Jack FM still broadcasting from the Levelland tower or from the new tower in SE Hockley County?

Looking at the new Arbitron #'s, Jack is still failing to show up.

I know this is an old thread, but I think you took my post a bit too seriously...

As for whether 105.3 is on the new stick... Well, they are full power now, and have a good market signal. I have no idea if they are actually broadcasting from the new location, but it sure sounds like it.

I'm going to stay out of the "why aren't they showing up in the ratings" debate, I'm sure everyone (harumph) has their theories, although I thought they ran a pretty good TV ad campaign in the begining. I'll say this: I listen to them all the time, and as a listener, it's nice to have them around.
