I would like to express my sincere condolences to Bob Schuman of WOMC on the passing of his good friend Don Latulippe. Bob and Don worked together at WROR in Boston and forged an amazing friendship. This was during the height of the license battle over the RKO General properties, and Don, as public affairs director and Bob, as news director worked very closely on corporate initiatives intended to buttress RKO's standing as a broadcaster. It was little known to the outside world, but they worked diligently to end suppression of some of the world's minorities. While Don took a leadership role, I'm sure he was encouraged just knowing that Bob Schuman was right behind him.
I know Bob is deeply grieved by the passing of his very good buddy and I just wanted to express my condolences knowing all the times Bob and Don worked together and how whatever disagreements they had on policy matters, it was all soon forgotten between these two amigos when their close personal friendship would prevail.
