Condom Ads during Limbaugh Broadcast

Listening to Limpbaugh on ksfo in SF and a rather creative condom ad comes on.several times during the broadcast
..goes good with all the baldness cures, sex disfunction products, colon cleanse stuff that are push on family values talk radio...matbe the little blue pill comercial will be next? How appropriate.
 
Since it is not an "EIB" ad, someone at the station must have that it funny to place the ad during the show. Frankly, I am not in favor of the ads running at all.
 
Rush had a parody that was played on his show in the first few years on his show called "Up, Up, and Away in My Beautiful Balloon", a parody of the song by the 5th Dimension. It was about condoms. So it does make sense to put the ads on his show. And with talent on loan from God.
 
Condoms, baldness cures, and ED is big business. Clear Channel needs the money to pay the $38 Million.
 
I am positive that some Limbaugh's listeners have a need for these products, just as any folks would do, regardless of political orientation. ;)

He played the actual song to introduce commentary on condoms. And it's talent on loan from Oxy.
 
Ya know the ironic thing is.. during the overnights in Phoenix, AZ, KFYI-AM (then 910)

Played adult shop ads for "The Castle Boutique". When I questioned the legality in a sort of a cool way the Ops mgr/APD had informed me that The Castle ads made light of Free Handicapped Parking... And they considered that as doing public service. Rather risky and Risque I think.. But it flew.

The original "Up, Up and Away" (it wasn't a parody) is the intro to the Condom Update, where he will read an actual wire story, and then provide commentary. He still does it, but with far less frequency than in the past.
