Will Condon and Bender return to the airwaves as a morning show?
They had a loyal audience, alot of them made up of former W&J listeners.
I've enjoyed them and was not amused when they were replaced by Lex and Terry.
Jay Hooks would be a great news reporter with C&B.

doubt it. at least not at a citadel station. i have been told by former citadel employees that condon likes to stab people in the back to score brownie points. he was demoted to 1300 because of that the last time. and eventually fired .
 
Why do the same people post the same stupid questions on this board about the same air personalities? Blah blah Jay Hooks, blah blah Tasha Stevens, blah blah Condon, blah blah Bob Mitchell.....these people are gone or marginalized. What about what's going on NOW in radio...why don't we talk about that?

This Louisiana board is running around in circles. I haven't visited for weeks and its the same old junk. Come on people, let's get something going!

Because today's radio is NOT something to talk about-IT'S EXTREMELY BLAND..........
Just listen to W&J TODAY and compare it to the golden days when JAY HOOKS was on their show-BIG BIG DIFFERENCE..............

the reason this louisiana board is running around in circles is because our radio stations, like our politics, are running around in circles.......... new orleans has some of the state's oldest heritage radio stations and yet the pd's that run them act like they no nothing about radio! we mostly have transient pd's because of the big corporations. imho.....some are good and some are worthless & shouldnt be here.

every time a radio station in this city get's a new pd or gm, many would wish "i can't wait to hear the new sound of *such-n-such station.*" but as soon as that station debu's their new sound, it's just as crappy and blah as it was before............if not worse! why?? because the same type of pd was hired to be as cheezy as the one before.

man i wish a local would buy a station or two back and bring in some LOCAL talent with some LOCAL flavor. stop trying to be like every other station and think OUTSIDE the box! then, maybe people will appreciate radio here and be more positive about the louisiana board. till then, they're gonna keep driving people away to other sources of media outlets for their music.

sawtooth--good post. i agree 100% is there anything musically worth listning to in new orleans or baton rouge? or even hammond? alexandria? there is one station in shreveport that i still like but it could be better if clear channel didjnt own it--1130 kwkh

We do have this but locals still complain about the cheesiness of the programming there (even though most on here love most of the on-air talent ... WTIX-FM

If someone has a cool $10-$15 Million I'd love to return 92.3 back to a AOR that plays new rock (sort of like 106.3 KXOR) but I haven't found the capital players yet...
 
Are some of you posters actually bots in disguise? The Jay Hooks guy doesn't realize that he's turning into a self-parody, another guy goes on about bringing back AOR....this is what I mean about no new ideas. How can we expect radio to give us a product that will hold our interest when all we care about is how things used to be?! Radio has been standing still for fifteen years, but when you read this board it seems like a lot longer!

Maybe Hitler and Mussolini could get back together again.
Or Lennon and McCartney.
Or Lewis and Martin.
Or Amos and Andy.
Or Michael Jackson and a women.
No, Condon and Bender does not seem to be a likely reunion.
As for Hooks, he is a scary, loose gun.
