Configuring Shoutcast for Live365 - Help!

If anyone can walk me through this I would be very grateful. I want to send the shoutcast stream to Live365, sadly,
their documentation is kind of sparse and a search of the Shoutcast forums didn't help any either. I want to do this because
for some reason, the software Live365 offers for live mode is cranking my audio to the max, which in turn causes
my audio processing to pretty much freak out. All assistance and advice are welcomed.

What encoder are you using? You need something that supports sending to live365. SAM Cast does I know.

The "default" shoutcast DSP does not work to my knowledge as it doesn't have the url speak to authenticate with the live365 server.

You may want to ask over in the live365 community forums.. They would have a better idea of anything that works (I haven't touched live365 since about 2005)

Up until 2008 I was using Shoutcast with Live365 with no problems. In fact there are probably some older threads in their community that touch upon it.

This is why I gave Live365 up. There was a place to where you can relay from a Shoutcast server to Live365, but the song titles would not display correctly. I didn't want to use twice the bandwidth to re broadcast to live365 with another encoder in SAM. I really didn't get near the audience you would expect from being listed in the iTunes directory so I went with Loudcaster when it was alive and then to StreamLicensing with my own Shoutcast provider of choice and now I'm quite happy with a far larger audience.
