Confirmed: Columbus All-Xmas King

...Columbus and two other markets, anyway.

An article in today's Inside Radio confirms that Columbus was one of three Top-50 markets tied for the most all-Christmas stations in 2005. Columbus, Milwaukee and Norfolk each had four all-Christmas outlets.

It's curious that those also happen to be the three largest markets for Sunny 95 owner Saga Communications.
______________

Oops, forgot one of the main points...

Among Top 50 markets with All-Christmas stations, Columbus's 93.3 had the largest Fall 05 to Fall 06 12+ ratings increase. (As I've mentioned before, Arbitrends make it clear that 93.3's Fall surge was driven by the all-Christmas portion of the book.)
______________
