Conflicting statements about HD Radio Multicasting, who's right and wrong?

Figured this was more of a engineering issue(if I'm wrong, feel free to move it to the appropiate forum)

Ok, so I hear reports that a extra channel can be added. Then another one says 5 extra channels can be squeezed into the frequency. And now I read that up to 8 channels can be squeezed on one station's frequency?

And some of these conflicting reports come from IBiquity and various news orginizations themselves!

So, can someone seperate fact from fiction about Multicasting and what possibilities are and aren't?

You can run up up to three channels (one being a low fidelity channel) while running analog. You can run five if you turn analog off. But at this time I cannot see that happening.

AFAIK, with analog you can split up to 96k of other bandwidth 3 ways.<P ID="signature">______________
