"Laura Hirsch, who most recently was midday personality at NextMedia Group's southwest suburban adult contemporary WSSR-FM (96.7), has returned to Tribune Co.-owned news/talk WGN-AM (720). The former producer of Spike O'Dell's morning show now hosts "720 Rewind," featuring highlights of WGN programs, from 2 to 5 a.m. Saturdays."

i am happy for laura, but bummed for us here at nextmedia. what a gal!!!! having "worked" with laura here (nextmedia) and once before as an intern with the kevin mathews machine (cd 94.7), i feel privelaged. it speaks volumes that the people at WGN are bringing her back. congrats for sure. and the best part....she doesn't owe me any money, so i don't have to chase her down.

Sounds like a voicetracked gig; kind of like religious stations with "hosts" that do 5-sec intros for another pay-to-pray client. Although, WGN is a great station and leave it to them to hire someone to host a replay in the middle of the night.

LAURA HIRSCH is out at WGN again as she is (to quote Walter Winchell) "infanticipating."

Brian Noonan is now a solo sub. He does a good job.
