CONGRATS NY YOU DESERVE IT YOU SUFFERED LONG ENOUGH

You have suffered long enough with the urban wasteland of a dial all through the 2000's. I remember in the 90's, you had, Da Buzz, Z-100, WNEW-FM, K-Rock, Q-104 and I think a few other stations playing New Rock, then it all went Kaput. The dial turned to URBAN URBAN AND MORE URBAN. I am in Philadelphia where it was not too bad we had MMR(yuck), Y-100, Alice and YSP. But the last few years were rotton, Y-100 went away, YSP was Free, all we had was MMR which soared in the ratings, proving Rock was alive and well. Last week we got an Alternative 1045 which was Spanish and did horribly in the ratings so CC flipped it to Alternative. This prevented YSP from reverting back to Active Rock, at least you can hear Metal, hair metal, hard rock and Alternative all on one dial setting, and remember Rock is far from dead, in fact its coming back stronger than ever and Rap/Hip Hop/R&B is dying all over the country, enough is enough. Hopefully you will get country back on one of the many failing FM's soon.

I was happy to hear that alternative rock was coming back to Philly, but Radio 104.5 disappointed me. It's so soft and safe, I'm tempted to label it as a "Rock AC".
