Congrats to 1560 The Game: On the Air for a Year!

I just want to put it on record that I said it would survive while many gave it only a few months. Like I said way back when, they are committed long term and you won't see any desperation for a minimum of 3 years. However, they have done well. They have brought on many advertisers despite not being measured with the PPM code. They have been consistent with their hosts. And they sound great after those early problems that ALL new start ups have. I still maintain they need a MAJOR local sports franchise (ala Rockets, Astros or Texans) to be huge.

Bottom-line, their success is a great testament to what local ownership can do. REAL radio with REAL entertainment can be had even with local ownership. Great Job Guys!

They need a major nighttime signal before they get a major local sports franchise.

Any recent news on either the 1kw or 19kw night proposals? I haven't seen any.
