Congratulations to Chuck McCoy, who's been named permanent evening (7pm-12 midnight) host on classic hits WLGZ (102.7 FM, "Legends 102.7") in Rochester, taking the place of the late Tommy Noonan, who passed away a few months ago.

Chuck's been in the market for a while on various stations including WLGZ handling weekend and swing-shift work, and before that, did weekend stints on Buffalo stations including WKBW in its CHR days. Sounds great, and it's good to hear him regularly there.

Glad to see an old friend doing well. I worked with Chuck in the 80s when he did afternoons at WJBX at Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Kudos, Chuck!

It's good to read "good news" about radio. Chuck's hiring is good news. Congratulations!

I am a little bias. Chuck is my friend. He belongs in radio. Radio needs him, maybe more than he needs radio.

Way to go Chuck!

Excellent on-air personality. His voice and demeanor are perfect for that time slot.

Thanks for sharing the great news!

Not to be confused with 1050 CHUM's Chuck McCoy from way back in the day. :D
I wish Chuck all the best!
