Congrats to FROGGY 104.1 in Jackson!

Hoppin Harvey and crew should be proud of themselves! WOGY - Froggy 104.1 showed up in the MEMPHIS trends recently! They were at the bottom of the list...but they were in there! I'm thinking this is the first time a Jackson station showed up in the Memphis ratings! (I could be mistaken about that) Cool deal none the less!

Yes!
WOGY-FM 94.1
"WOGY-FM, Millington-Memphis."
I happen to be somewhat of an expert when it comes to "Froggy 94!"
It was one of (if the THE) first stations in the Froggy franchise.
;D

I enjoy reading the posts on here. I'll bet I worked with a few of you. I had the good fortune to Program 104 WTNV in Jackson in '93-'94...and then from '94 till '97 work at, and eventually Program Froggy 94 in Memphis. I too, found the call letter change strangely amusing. I've moved back to Middle Tennessee and have lost touch with many of the people I worked with...hope everyone is doing well.

riceman...
We worked together for a short time I think.
I was p/t on WRVR (Solid Gold Sundays and fill in vacations when I could) and p/t on Froggy94. Joel Burke had just asked me (and I accepted) to go FULL time Froggy just before or just after you left.

WRVR Name (as well as Jackson and MANY others)- Ron Collins
WOGY Name p/t-Pete Moss...F/T Hoppy Gilmore

WTNV is now Tiptonville/Dyersburg on at 97.3FM part of Burks Broadcasting in Dyersburg.

It's good to see former SL-100 FM Dyersburg and Froggy 94 Memphis people here.
I was Earle Daniels on SL-100 and Big Joe Green on Froggy 94. (PT on Froggy for a few months between full-time gigs)

Earle

What's up Earle? Our meeting in Dyersburg was probably close to 20 years ago now. My daughter just turned 22 and she was still very young then.
I still crack up thinking about Maxey in there with me on a Saturday shift telling me things weren't always as they seemed. Then he said, "My hair's not real! This is a toupee!"
Thought I was going to die!!!

When I think of country music, Brad Paisley, Sugarland, George Strait, etc., a frog never comes to mind.
A bear, bull, cat, wolf maybe, but never a frog.

Wasn't this a Kirby Confer incarnation?
That would certainly explain it.

to much of every format everywhere
