Congrats to Joe Byrd and Blueridge Outdoors.

Joe Byrd and Blue Ridge Outdoors celebrate 10 years on the air. I was CE at the first station Joe worked for in Taylorsville, NC. Joe credits me for his start in radio and has NEVER forgiven me. Proud of you Joe.

Let me also tip my hat to Joe Byrd, who I once was privledged to work with. Very fine news reporter and anchor. Great delivery, great voice, and, if not a great hunter, certainly a passionate one.

are we talking about the same Joe Byrd that did news on WXBQ? Years ago, 1982, he came to work at then Top 40 WFHG (AM 980) as Beau Matthews.
