Congrats to long-time weekend jock on WLTW

There's this guy on Lite FM who works on Sunday. He's not well-known by any stretch of the imagination but I was listening to the station yesterday, and prior to commercial the jock Herb Barry opined that yesterday marked his 30th anniversary of being on New York radio. 30 years in one of the biggest markets is quite an achievement. He's a guy who brings real passion to the music he plays and has a calm and relaxing voice for Sunday afternoons. So if you read this board Mr. Barry congratulations, and even if you might not have another 30 years in you, like you said yesterday no reason for you not to keep going as long as possible.

Congratulations are definitely in order. I truly enjoy Mr. Barry on 106.7 and wish that we had more opportunities to hear him on WLTW. His voice and personality are wonderful for weekend afternoons.

Aside from the obvious professionalism he demonstrates on air, Herb is also a great guy, family man and a successful businessman at his 9-5 gig. Congratulations are in order for one of the great guys in the radio business. ;)
