Great news ... finally. KOOL Listener Lauren has made it to the big time and I join her many many friends with sincere congratulations on landing her first radio job! Though the proverbial "foot in the door" -- it's a great start for a young woman who is going places. Lauren starts Monday at Sandusky's Classic Rocker KLSX-FM (tied for 6th in the market) learning about good things radio.

Lauren, you did what so many others haven't tried ... you walked in the door, realizing that you'd have to earn your way, and got the gig in 15 minutes. Promotions and other departments now await your new internship which will also go towards great help in your senior year at ASU.

Board op, maybe? Callout research? Social Media / Marketing? Producing? Phones? Production, Sales? It's all right there before you.

And yes, when you do earn the key to the Lamptimer 14-40, please let us know immediately. Though, for now, at KSLX, you're going to go places ... and don't let the "but it's only an intern" sway you. Just be you and you'll find doors open for sure.

In one day and after a grueling time at, well, you know ... the corporate entity that "Cares" and didn't return a phone call after the interview in which she shined, a big congratulations to you, KLL! You deserve it and have a great Summer with the Valley's Classic Rock -- KSLX. All of us are so proud of you!

Couldn't happen to a more deserving person.

Now, getting this just a day before "Judgement Day" ... well, we'll see. Good for you, Lauren!

But....like Kentucky Fried Chicken who became just KFC.....do you now think, in lieu of your new association, you might need to change your moniker to just an abbreviation? Or maybe something like KSLX-Listener-Lauren?
