AP Broadcast awards were handed out Saturday afternoon at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass. Congratulations to KFYI'S Jim Sharpe for winning Reporter of the Year (among several awards.) Meanwhile, KTAR'S Jim Cross picked up several awards for his work on the Brins fire, Warren Jeffs, and the Governor's Cup for contributing to AP. KFYI wins for election night coverage while KTAR picked up team awards for the Brins fire, Immigration coverage, Baseline Killer and Serial Shooters coverage. KTAR wins best newscast.
