According to the 2006 Phoenix Magazine Best Of issue, KFYI's very own Barry Young was named Best Radio Talk Show Host.

But remember that this is the same magazine whose readers selected Brad Perry from 3-TV as the "Best TV Weather Person" (actually it was a tie with Bill Kelley from 12NEWS).

Phoenix magazine is one of those dinosaur media magazines. Basically only read by people who are dazzled by completely safe, dull and uninteresting articles that, strangely enough, feature those businesses that advertise in Phoenix magazine.

I'm sure it will look good on the mantle next to Kim's two hundred or so trophies.
 
This dinosaur is not a regular reader, but I do happen to have the current issue in hand if you are interested in a rundown of radio highlights...

According to Readers' Picks, Barry Young is Best Radio Talk Show Host and Best Radio Station is KJZZ...
(The PD at KJZZ has said according to his research, KJZZ shares most listeners with KTAR...)
