Thank You. Came as a bit of a surprise, since I don't have one single station that I am responsible for!

But, are you not responsible for the entire group?

Ni one person is responsible for any group in today's radio... it's a team effort.

Let me be the 1,627,388,411 to say Congratulations David. The most I ever got was employee of the month at I-95FM December 1984! ;D

Congrats David

Congratulations on your obviously well-deserved honor! I too echo the sentiments of many who find your industry insights extremely on-point and valuable. Thanks for your continuing contributions to the industry.

VIVA DAVID EDUARDO!!!!

Whe it comes to a "voice of authority" on all things radio, coast-to-coast -- congratulations to the "voice" that makes us all "think" as well -- David Eduardo.

Commendable honor for one so deserved, David. Thanks for your dedication and input to our industry.

David, congrats

But remember tHis is the heyday for Hispanic radio. Try competing in mainstream
radio, I think you would be humbled.

In some US markets, like Miami, San Antonio, McAllen, Albuquerque, Fresno, Modesto, Bakersfield and LA, the largest single segment of the population is Hispanic, those of us in Spanish language radio are already programming to the "mainstream."

In my case, I came to the US mainland 15 years ago after nearly 30 years in mainstream, general market radio in Latin America where there are usually more stations in comparably sized markets than in the US. Between 1970 and 2005, 35 years, there were less than 5 years where I did not have either the overall #1 or a #1 in a key demo like Women 18+ (including an FM that was #1 from within 3 months of arriviing and for the next 20 years without missing a book). Remember, in Latin America the language may be Spanish but there are "mainstream" markets that are bigger than New York City. And that in many US markets now, "Hispanic" is mainstream... in LA, 55% of 18-34's are Hispanic!

Hat's off to you, David. Now, go and convince John Higdon that your peers respect your work.

That's funny. Thanks for putting a smile on my face as I sit waiting for a delayed flight.

And thanks, most humbly (me?) and sincerly to all who have posted in regards to the nomination.

CONGRATS DAVID!!! A true radio programming icon. Those of us who have had the honor and privilege of working with you side by side now understand the true meaning of the word "RADIO PROFESSIONAL". David really makes this quote come to life for me: "Leadership is the passion, capacity, will and ability to rally men and women towards a common goal or purpose; and the character which inspires the confidence necessary to get the job done successfully." - Bernard Montgomery, British Field Marshall

This could not have happened to a nicer individual and nobody deserves it more than you!

CONGRATS DAVID!!! ;D
