When it comes to play by play(PBP) of Cleveland professional sports, Cleveland has been blessed to have announcers who stuck it out through the good times and the bad. First it was Herb Score, who after thirty two seasons was finally able to do a World Series PBP.
And now after that many years, Joe Tait will get his turn as the Cavs are finally in the NBA Finals.
Ohio Media Watch reports that a good article has been written about Joe in the Medina County Gazette. Go check it out.
So go Cavs and just as important, congratulations Joe for all your dedication and a job well done.

We are certainly blessed here in Cleveland with some of the finest play by play guys in sports. Donovan....Hamilton....and of course Tait. Glad that Joe finally gets a chance to be on the NBA's biggest stage. I can remember as a kid back in the early 90s hearing Tait call those great Cavs playoff teams.....and he still sounds just as good today. Congrats Joe!

After 37 years with the Cavs, Joe Tait finally airs a Finals
By BRIAN DULIK
Staff Writer

Legendary play-by-play man Joe Tait has broadcast nearly 2,900 Cavaliers games during his career. But until Thursday night, he had never called a contest from the NBA Finals.

Suffice to say, many Cleveland fans had one of their sports dreams fulfilled when Tait bellowed, "It's basketball time from the AT&T Center," at the start of Game 1 between the Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs.

"From what I hear, there are a number of people who are happy I am finally going to be broadcasting the NBA Finals," Tait said. "That lets me know that I've probably done a pretty good job over the years, which is a nice feeling. It's very flattering."
