You deserve so much better than what ABC has to offer! You belong in a very, very large market.

There are few talent in this market that have the caliper of professional and talent that you exhibit.
 
Underappreciated is a great way to describe him. I know he reads the boards..From my understanding, he's been offered the PD many times and he's turned it down. He does is mornings, meetings and goes home or golfing:) Their show is one of the best in the area.
 
More power and congratulations to him, and anybody who escapes that slimly little creep of a failing car dealer - Jimmy "not even bright enough to be a good crook" Morel and his beautiful daughter (she was in Shrek, ever see her? Yeah, the big green one with the frog father).

"Mr. Morell"?! LOL! More like "Jimmy too stupid to even be a good crook Morel"... Even the nicest and least blood-thirsty person in radio, Paul Vandenburg took him to the cleaners - even after YEARS of warnings Jimbo was still to stupid to see it coming!!!! The lowest level Wiseguy in Latham couldn't be taken like Jimmy Boy! LOL!

From what I hear, the Times Union has an entire file of written exchanges between Jimmy and at least one lucky escapee from his asylum, and that they will be calling him for comment just about the time one of those people files an eye-popping law suit against the goofy goombah.

He is poison, a bottom-feeding creep who has only been exposed to the world because the radio tide has gone out, leaving nothing but dead fish and garbage behind in the driver's seat. Eventually even Jimmy may arise to the level of garbage, but not any time soon.

Is anyone aware that it's a station promotion? Fly is giving away furniture to the person that solves the "mystery". Although I am one who feels that Brian has been over looked for many years as one of the greatest jocks Albany has ever seen, unfortunately this award is a faux award.

Either you have only listened to radio here (which by most other cities' standards is awful) for a VERY short time or you ARE Brian Cody. Go back and listen to jocks from the past, even in this market and you'll get a dose of reality. Brian Cody may be in the top 100 of the last 25 years. Is he better than oh, Dave Records Redpath, JB Goode, Todd Pettengill, Woody and Jim, Bob Mason (in his top 40 prime), Sean Hollywood Scott,
Stacey Shannon, Donnie Michaels, Gellar, etc. etc. etc.? Or maybe you've never heard of any of these people, but for the most part the radio now and the radio then is apples and oranges. It's like comparing the NFL players of old who were good for the day to the ones of today (in a different category) and Cody fits into the former.
 
First of all clown..I personally know a couple of the people that you just mentioned, and as for the rest I've heard of 99% of them. I've lived here in the Capital Region for a loong time, and have been a part of the industry for quite some time as well. I'm very proud of you for name dropping, thumbs up pal. I never said that he was THE BEST. I said he's one of the best. Calm yourself down. Cody is one of the most conversational jocks that I've ever heard, next to Kane(who is head and shoulders above any jock I've heard in a long time). I am not Brian, though I find it funny that as soon as someone gives props to any jock on this board they must be them.
 
All I'm saying is that if you want to make that type of comment I'd throw a number there like, oh, say "he's one of the 100 best jocks in Albany." Now THAT I could handle. By the way, Brian is NOT controversial---which puts your argument to rest. Simply put....ABC does not handle controversy well and does not allow a sniff of it on the air.
 
Ok then to make you happy, Bri is one of the top 50 jocks we've seen here in Albany. Oh and since you tried so hard to put my argument to rest, I didn't say he was controversial, I said he was conversational. There's a huge difference. I'm well aware of how ABC handles controversy, and the fact that I know Brian, controversy is not his thing. But since I said conversational, that is exactly what Brian is on the air.

Just curious, why are you so against giving Brian credit?
