Congratulations to Scott Slade and WSB

(and now we interuppt your regular programming for this bright note)

Congratulations to Scott Slade and the entire WSB team as they helped raise 1.2 million dollars for the AFLAC Cancer Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta this week during their 6th annual Care-A-Thon! There are some really bad things in radio but this is one of the bright spots. Way to go!

(And now we return to your regular scheduled bashing and criticism of Dave, 99x, and expecially WGST and Clear Channel)

Yes it is a bright spot, anyone care to offer why the other so called news station in town isnt any thing like good ole Whizzzbeeee? I can tell you why.. No class. WSB is a first class operation. You go guys, the reason you are NO # 1 is because of things like this.

You know this may be a reason why WSB is so ahead of WGST. While WSB changed in the 90's to get a younger demo instead of the old folks who had been listening for decades as a full service with Ludlow Porch. etc, WSB never lost their touch with the community. Kimmer or another may be doing some fundriaisng but I don't think WGST has done much for the community as a whole like WSB has done like with Clark's Christmas Kids in which all the personalities pitch in to push the promotion. If I am wrong with this please correct me.
