Congratulations to WTQR's New Morning Show !

They've definitely created a buzz here in the Triad. I don't think they're deserving of an ACM award just yet (given the short amount of time they've been on the air) but give it time and we'll see. Regardless, congrats to Jeff & Anige on the recognition!
 
Wow, I have been reading this board out of pure nosey-ness for years, and this is the first time I have ever been compelled to reply.

I have always found this board moderately educational, for someone like me who moved into this market. It's nice to learn the ropes from the old-school guys. Nothing but respect...

...until now. For a few of you, this is the biggest display of HS type behavior you've expressed yet. You've been in radio longer, you've been fired from the greatest stations, you too gave time & temperature and "did your time", you each are your own biggest fan, (I'm certain my grammar is awful at this point), and you each feel that you are better than the rest of us....especially the newbies. Because there is no way that anyone who has been in this business less than 15 years could possibly be intelligent or have perspective. You act as if the whole world (or Triad at least) owes you something??? GET OVER YOURSELVES, and just say congrats to JR. No need to bash every person who has anything nice to say, and praise the people that leave negative thoughts.

In a time when the entire industry is struggling surely we shouldn't fan the fire by beating each other down?

Okay, so go ahead and start bashing me. Start guessing where I work. Start figuring out who I am.

Congrats Jeff & Angie! It's not the greatest morning show of all time, but it is definitely one of the best the Triad has to offer.

You ready for teh lock of the week? Ole forgotshisface and lovesyourbusiness who started this lovefest are the same person and they BOTH work for CC! Can you stand it?? I know, it's a trip! Go back and check your notes, chillin', I've never been wrong!
 
Don't really want to put my dog in this fight, but I think Sniff might be on to something. I'm always suspicious of first time posters who just pop up out of nowhere. Especially when it's to make an announcement or heap praise on a station. Just a little too convenient. Of course, everyone's got to start SOMEwhere. But I think they both work for CC.

I honestly haven't listened to Jeff and Angie, but I wish them well. I DO know that the CMA awards are pretty political and a lot has to do with the quality of your application. If you don't apply, you don't get nominated.

Who are you trying to kid that you have read this board for years and just registered today! With all the trash we have put out about CC, there is no way you could have remained silent!! So are you a board op or AH! A copywriter?? I agree with my fellow posters..You haven't fooled any of us..So go back an d tell your boss you failed!! THE BIG APE LIVES ;D ;D
