Congratulations to Joe Snelson, CPBE; director of engineering; Meredith Broadcasting Group; Henderson, NV (Fox 5) on his election to the Society Of Broadcast Engineers national Board of directors.

Terry, Apparently you are not aware that the Society of Broadcast Engineers is the one national organization representing all RADIO and TV engineers. As a board member, Joe will be responsible for actions affecting radio engineers throughout the country (and overseas for that matter). I am the local Certifiction chairman for the SBE and have given as many radio certification exams as TV in the 16 years I have been giving such exams. In the engineering side, just as in the sales and programming side of broadcasting, radio and TV often have to work together. I will admit that when I am voting for board members, I do tend to lean toward those cantidates mainly in radio, but knowing Joe's work, I had no problem voting for him to represent me as a Broadcast Engineer in the single organization representing all RADIO and TV engineers in the country.
Bill Croghan (Bilco) WB0KSW CPBE
Chief Engineer, Lotus Broadcasting, Las Vegas.

Apparently, Terry does not know that "radio-info" also features several television categories. Since Las Vegas (or Nevada) does not have a dedicated category for TV-themed posts, I think that the occasional post in this forum is OK.

Apparently Terry James is a little embarrassed. Apparently the word apparently is being thrown about quite a bit in this thread.
