Jim Thornton is the new announcer on "Wheel of Fortune." The KNX afternoon host has a long radio history in Los Angeles, even though he is still quite young. From a jock at KMGX/94.3 (KGIL's FM under Buckley) to hosting afternoons at KNX, with a lot of voiceover experience, one of the nicest guys in the business makes a BIG BIG move up. He steps into the shoes of the late Charlie O'Donnell, widely loved as another nice guy. Good lessons for the grouchy types in our business.

So is Thornton still going to be on KNX, or will there be a replacement?
;DJim will be leaving KNX According to LA Radio, Andy Ludlum is considering his options. The Wheel production schedule and a fair amount of travel precludes his continuing with KNX.
