connection between WEEI and ESPN radio

same "tough guy" announcer that's on WEEI also does promos for ESPN radio. By the way, whatever his name is, his act wears thin. Frankly, I wish they'd just say "here's Dale and Holley" or "and now the Big Show" and not waste 2 or 3 minutes of the top of each hour, which usually comes at 10 past or later. The other day, I listened to the first quarter hour of WWZN and when they got to their first break, WEEI was just starting the hour--perfect timing. ... like right now, it's 3:17 and they're still in break.

Good point: I wonder what their content/spots ratio per hour is? I'd gladly put up with the bits if they would get rid of the regular callers. Anyway they get their hourly break in on time, congradulations. Listening to this station neccessitates having a trigger finger ready to hit another preset .

The guy's name is Jim Cutler. I worked with him at WHDH way back when. He gets tons of voiceover work these days. I asked Jason Wolfe if it bothered him that the same imaging voice was on his competitor, and got the impression that WEEI isn't overly concerned.Where confusion exists, heritage usually wins. And 'EEI holds that card.

I'm not allowed. I'm just the hired help. And I'm not disagreein' with you. Isn't there more important stuff you radio plebes should discuss indepth, such as Smokie Bacon and Dick Concannon?
