Conservative opposes Limbaugh

Some people on these boards have asked the question, "Why won't I listen to Rush Limbaugh even though I am a conservative."

As I mentioned earlier, I do listen to the conservative talker, Michael Medved but the big problem and you may agree with this is that Rush Limbaugh is Proud & Boastful. The truth is, I have been taught by my Father to oppose the proud. On the other hand, Medved is humble and there is grace in that.

I know Limbaugh's teachings are spreading like gangrene, but Medved and a few others offer a refuge for public discourse.

Ok now that that is settled, let's enjoy the radio.
 
Michael Savage is the main opposition to Limbaugh he has been known to accuse Rush of knee Jerking the issues. Also when savage goes after rush he starts to question everything he believe in
 
I am a fiscal conservative and more liberterian on social issues. I always wonder why in the Republican party, if you disagree with Limbaugh you get shouted down. I was very disappointed to see Rep. Party chair Michael Steele got mussled for calling Rush what in essence what he really is "AN ENTERTAINER"

The ONLY problem I have with Limbaugh and his clones is that many in their audiences think these guys are NEWSpeople, actual journalists trying to be fair. Nothing could be further from the truth. Most recognize the transaprent slant and spin a mile away, but those who don't are very poorly informed.
 
"Proud and Boastful" is part of Rush's act. Like many radio peopls (Imus, Cousin Brucie, Mark Simone) Rush is actually kind of shy in a one-to-one situation, as noted by the NY Times Marueen Dowd.

People listen to radio talkers because they like the style of the host. I happen to enjoy Rush, as I like to be entertained. I do not care for Hannity or Laura, Levin, etc. It does not make a host good or bad. It is just a matter of taste.

Right, now lets get back to work making radio better and not nitpicking these folks who have figured out how to make alot more money than Josh or me.

Josh wants Medved and for you and I to buy dying am radio stations from his broker buddy and force his Christian agenda (different than MY Christian agenda).

WHO cares what I listen to? It is just a matter of taste.

Very few, I'd say. I've actually heard Rush say he's not a political activist or anything like that...he's an entertainer first and foremost. 90% of the crap that comes out of his mouth is designed to be entertaining first, political second. He spends his days puffing away on cigars and spending the boat loads of cash Clear Channel is paying him.
