your comparing apples to oranges. the EDM is not type certified and i got busted running 10mW EDM
You posted in here a few years back that your EDM failed you almost right away, I remember you had a problem getting your money back. You also posted here that you finally got your money back.
I would like to know what programming you were running to get busted with any 10mW transmitter. Do you have any ideal how many low power FM transmitters are on the air? Ramsey alone has sold thousands of low power FM Transmitters, many with dipole antennas. Then there are the XM & Sirrius radios that cover a few blocks with ease, not to mention all the other low power FM transmitters manufactured by others including: Panaxis, B/W, PCS, Wavemach & Veronica. You really had to work at getting busted running 10 mWatts.
My comments were technical, transmitters that I have hands on experience with, not rather or not they were certified. For the money the EDM is the best transmitter in regards to sound quality, signal quality & inovative design when compared to Panaxis & Ramsey, the Decade might be a great transmitter but I have not done any test on it nor plan to. I think its way over priced.
I have run Panaxis, B/W and EDM 24/7 for three years, not one of them has ever failed do to component failure. However the Panaxis transmitter signal output degrades though time. If you start off with 350 mWatts, six months later it will be down to 300 mWatts.
The main problem with the Panaxis is it sounds bad and has very poor harmonic filtering, the spurs can also be really bad. which might bring a visit. The worst part is you have to deal with Eric of P C now instead of Ernie.
