Construction Permits

Any idea when some of these construction permits may become reality?

WANT 98.9 moving closer to Nashville
WAYM 94.5 moving to 105.1 in Hendersonville. The 94.5 frequency is worthless. WGSQ 94.7 is much stronger in Hendersonville in reality than is listed on file, thus 94.5 is clear for all of a mile before the Giant takes over. I don't see how 105.1 could be any better when WVRY comes in pretty strong on the same frequency. I'm assuming WAY's moving to 105.1 because WFGZ is moving closer to town. Any speculation on what will happen with that format? Seems to be a waste to have 93.7 and 94.5 side by side blasting the same thing, yet different owners. Maybe Solid Gospel will move in? I think this was mentioned in the past, just wondering when any of it will actually happen.

If any of these "move-in's" are CP's with the clock ticking, they'd better hurry. With the new rules, the FCC has made the standard move-in scheme a lot more difficult.

I'd think that 94.5 may be more likely to go to Solid Gospel, since it's already on 104.9 and 105.1, which Grace also owns. 94.5 is the only station they have left with CCM, and it carries the same feed as the Fish stations, which they probably won't carry once the station has moved.

Would love for one of these frequencies to air Air1, as the station would already have a built in audience locally for former WAY-FM morning man Brant, when he hits the air there.

Can't really answer the original question, but...

- I'm pretty sure you're right about why WayFM is moving from 94.5 to 105.1.
- The new rules affecting move-ins apply only to translators. The WANT and WFGZ moves are full-power stations that aren't affected. WayFM's move may involve a translator, but it's already been approved.

Wrong. It's not only translators.

Under the new rules, it's almost impossible to abandon a small market COL for a medium / major market.
