I have not heard all the conservative talkers lately but I have listened to some of Rush and a few others. What I hear are the same old RNC talking points. Meanwhile, a lot of the administration's support base seems to be bailing out, including many Republicans in Congress. Can Rush and Company retain their credibility with their grass-roots libertarian conservatives, fiscal conservatives, social conservatives, populist paleoconservatives and even neo-con listeners when they continue to mindlessly shill for the administration?
Do listeners want hosts to flack for politicians and parties or do they want somebody like-minded to articulate their own views (and feelings)? (Same question applies to liberal hosts following the DNC line.)
