I would like to hear the groups thoughts on WireReady's playout system, ControlReady. One of my clients produces sports programming and has been using 360 Systems Digicarts for many years. The Digicarts are rock solid, sound good and are easy to operate.

The time has come, however to have a system that will do more than the Digicarts will allow. The two main things are the ability to send contact closures within a playlist and the ability to produce an as played log that can be sent to the traffic dept.

So far running the provided trial version it seems ControlReady will do the trick. I can build a playlist that includes the ability to close a relay on a Broadcast Tools SRC-8 and on to the delay and on to the Zephyr which feeds ABC when a local break occurs. At the end of the show it can be setup to e-mail or file transfer a text file log on to the proper traffic person.

It is also reasonably priced which is a good thing...

Anybody else using it or had experience with WireReady?

have a close friend running wireready at 2 FM's(one sat.delivered,the other MOHD).Really likes it with no problems.They will also sell the software only if you want to roll your own computer.Very stable system.
 
I've used ControlReady for years, and run an Oldies format on it. Also run the live assist on the TV side for running bumpers and music during the news shows. I like the simplicity of the product, and like menotti1 said, you can set it up on your own computer.

BTW, I use Delta 44 cards for my audio cards. The machines run on Win2000.
 
I know a few IT people who support ControlReady and they love how simple it is. It seems the system can room on a very basic computer.
