Conway Jr - Kars 4 Kids

I love Conway Jr, but his shilling has reached an ultimate low in singing the dreaded Kars 4 Kids jingle.

On I Heart Radio's streaming of KFI, they play the damn thing over and over and over.

And does Conway really need to give a company's telephone number ten times in a single commercial? (It may be only eight times...but it seems like ten.)

I was really exhausted driving home early one morning. During Coast to Coast, the spot came on and I thought I was tripping out. About 12 seconds in, I realized it was Conway acting like a spazz, and I started busting out laughing.

Like watching "Dumb and Dumber," some things just seem hilarious at 1:30 in the morning.

if the phone number is said 10 times (or 8), it's because the client wants it that way, trust me.

Ditto. I never have pen/paper in the car, so the number has to be memorable. For instance, Conway/Bender's stupid "1-800- 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... FIFTY!" bit is incredibly corny, but hey, I remember the number, right?

Now if only I could remember who the number is for ... ;D

I Googled the number and came up with some interesting folks: http://stoprush.net/details.php?id=1316
Here's a philosophical question for you: Can an ad that's exclusively read by Tim Conway Jr. be considered a Rush Limbaugh sponsor just because it happens to air during Rush's slot? I hear ads from various local KFI hosts at all hours of the day on that station (for example, I've had an impacted buttfull of Bill Carroll's shillings for the Drake Institute during John and Ken). I'm far from an expert, but it seems to me that the advertising dough for these LOCAL spots would exclusively benefit the LOCAL station, whereas a big kahuna syndicated program like Rush's is its own animal with its own set of sponsors. Rush's syndication company makes the money from Rush's official sponsors, KFI makes its money from the local sponsors, and nary the twain shall meet. OK, maybe I'm oversimplifying a little since they are all ultimately owned by the same company, but I stand by my overall point that boycotting a Conway ad aired during Rush hurts KFI and Conway much more than it hurts Rush.
