Is Cool 101.3 in the process of a format chage? Someone at the station mentioned to a friend that Cool 101.3 is looking to go all 80's or 80's based. That would be a bad move. The 80's thing came and went. The average life span for a all 80's or Jack FM is about 18 months.
 
You really can't do cool and not play cool. It becomes rather obvious rather quickly. I realize cool is a complex word, but the listening audience generally knows cool when they hear it. And regurgitated burned out hits is just not cool. I realize their philosophy is appealing to the lowest common denominator, but un-cool, is just plain, well, un-cool. Anyhow, I hear they took out a delux premium subscription with the format of the month club. So permanency is apparently not an issue.
