COOL--AC/DC...Breakbeat mix

Does anyone know who did the Dance-Breakbeat remix of AC-DC--Shook me all night long. At the end it mixes in samples from Bon Jovi, Guns n Roses, as well as Metalica, It keeps the original Rock feel, and guitars, but ads a dancable beat, Pretty well done, but I cant find credits for the Remixer who did it.

Afrika Bammbaataa has been playing a Remix of "You shook me all nite long" for at least 10 years in his DJ sets.

It's a great mix, i used it when we threw a 'Beach Party' at a night club last year. That mix was a huge hit with the crowd.

Pretty well done, but I cant find credits for the Remixer who did it.

It's called a Bootleg.

Right.. most breakbeats are boots... hence the reason breaks are only big in central florida.
______________

Oh Please, there have been more House Bootlegs since the beginning of the SCENE (89-90-91)thru the current day, starting with Prince "When Doves Cry" and and "Real Life" sampling Queen. Anyone who has been buying records for any period of time realizes there many more STraight Beat Bootlegs of rock songs, funk songs, disco songs etc.. u must be wrapped up on your breaks channel with Brad Smith return to Ibizia. The world does not revolve around YBOR city.

There's a few Ultimix's that remixed rock tracks but you have to go back in time to find them

Def Leppard
Lynard Skynard
Beastie Boys
AC/DC and more

Oh please.. like I give a f*ck about breaks. Like I give a f*ck about Ybor City - Both are complete sh*t... If the world revovled around Ybor city.. then this country would be in trouble. Ybor City is the king of s*it. Worst clubs on the planet reside there... worst music onthe planet there.... including that small sweat box called Amphitheater - pure garbage. Ybor City is such sh*t.. that it made me move to South Beach this past weekend. Thanks.

LOL you have DJ Santana all over you web site and as a programmer for one of your channels? Talk about pure garbage, that is pure garbage, but I am sure he is still trying to sell Bootleg Cds of other peoples commercial garbage music like he always has. Maybe he can move to South Beach and get a gig there with you. hire someone with a little prestige class and honor behind them like DJ 3 if you need Tampa talent all over your site.

LOL - and what exactly are you doing for the EDM scene? What stations do you mix for? or what clubs do you spin at? Better yet.. what is your website address? Im sure someone that supports the JACK format really has a clue about anything when it comes to EDM or dance radio. Dj 3? You mean Chris Milo? - HAHA! Yea, he thats a reall prestige class LOL - I understand that you are a Dj 3 groupie and all... but trust me.. Dj 3 cant spin the whole package (breaks, hip hop, trance, freestyle, and house.. Santana can. When was the last time Chris Milo spun at Ultra or was on FLZ? or better yet... programmed 4 internet radio channels that peak over 4,500 listeners? Who in the f*ck is Dj3? - where does he spin at? what stations does he spin on? What stations does he program?

Yea... that's what I thought. You sound like an old washed up, jealous radio junkie from orlando.

U r too much! CHris Milo, "DJ Three" just spun last weekend in NYC at CroBar, opening for Sasha and Sandra Collins, for the close of Sasha's residency at CroBar NY, but now that you are in South Beach maybe you will keep up more on that kind of stuff from their beautiful crobar venue on Miami Beach.

I listen to loads of Music and would love a JACK station on FM dial in Orlando.

As long as you parade DJ Santana as a Programmer of one of your channels you have no credibility, period.

U still didnt answer my question. like i said.. I thought so. WTF do YOU do for EDM? and if you want to get in a pissing match about djs.... santana is opening for Ferry corsten.... Matt Darey (later this year).. and has opened this year for tiesto.. and several other djs on the same level as up sasha. - so, your comments dont mean sh*t either. Sandra Collins? LOL - That would be saying a lot several year's ago.
______________

DJ Three is undoubtebly the most talented DJ to come out of Tampa, along with DJ Jask.
Russ, you know I agree with you on a lot of things, but bashing DJ Three? DJ Three knows more about Breaks, House, Progressive, Techno, and Trance, then most other DJs in the world. Three was in Rabbit In The Moon, and helped pioneer the American Progressive scene in the early 90s. He produces music, he has been a bi-weekly resident for years at a club in Tampa, and he spins all over the world.
Bashing Three is like bashing Chris Fortier (and I know you have a lot of respect for Chris), both of whom are highly admired by Sasha and Digweed.

BTW, Three has spun at the Amphitheater on a number of occasions. He even had a Sunday night residency there for awhile a few years back, but he's most remembered for opening for Sasha there last year. Oh yeah, and he HAS spun as the guest DJ on a Saturday night, and had his set broadcast on 93.3 FLZ.
Edited by CHRles on 06/14/05 04:16 AM.

Doesnt do much for me CHRles.. sorry... The kid (The Beat) came on here and bashed a good friend of mine for no apparent reason. It's amazing how I have been listening to this EDM stuff since I was 12.. and Dj Three (which who I have seen in Gainesville (Simons), Orlando, and a few other events).. did nothing for me... Very boring and bland sets with weak music selection... and his mixing skills are NOWHERE on the same level as Fortier...IMO, I dont think Fortier and Three should be on the same line... but then again CHRles.. that is my opinion.. just like you have your own opinions. I know out of Santana and Three.. I know who can fill up a club to over capacity in Tampa.. Ive seen it. There's my take on Dj Three.. We have different opinions. Im not bashing Three on a personal level (like THE BEAT is doing with Santana). I just dont think he is all that.

My question is this... What exactly does THE BEAT do for EDM and dance radio? - It's amazing how this question keeps getting avoided. See, he cant answer these questions, but yet.. he can bash. He can goto my website and talk sh*t about my employees.. but he cant back his comments up.. instead, out of nowhere.. he comes onto this dance board and talks (BLEEP).

So, THE BEAT.. how about answering this question so I can actually take your comments seriouslly... cause' right now, you are a total joke.. and a waste of space on this dance board.
______________

You might get your wish. WOCL's sounding more and more like a potential format flipper, with "We Play What You Want" as a positioner... 80s/90s variety rock for the weekday noon hour... more classic 80s hair metal scattered in afternoon and evening dayparts... Drew Garabo (former talk radio host) on weekdays with a talk-leaning vibe... "old school alternative" weekends and the more recent "Memorial Day Shuffle Mode" weekend... combine that with Stern's departure in 2006, a decrease in Arbitron ratings over the past few books, and an overall decline in alt. rock radio stations... and you've got a recipe for a format flip IMO.
______________
