Hi everyone. It is great news indeed to hear that there are vintage LV airchecks out there. Please understand that my intent with this message is not to speak for anyone at all, but I would think that if any of the holders of these airchecks are willing to put in some time to share them with the rest of us, they would rather dub them off once rather than making dubs for each person who wants them. this is why I suggested making electronic copies in a previous post. These airchecks could be transferred to MP3 format, then uploaded somewhere so that we could all obtain our own copies without the person having to make zillions of dubs. they could be uploaded to www.yousendit.com, or www.savefile.com. these services allow you to upload a file that has a direct URL that could then be posted to this board. Yousendit stores files fror seven days, or 25 uploads, whichever comes first. Savefile will keep the files indefinitely, but I believe it requires free registration to be able to download the files.

another way to share these dubbed airchecks would be to have someone distribute them on either WinMX, or Soulseek. Or, someone could make them available by private FTP, or even post them to the alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.airchecks Usenet newsgroup. the possibilities are endless. I'm just saying that if the person is willing to share, and if there are a number of us who would like copies of these airchecks, why not use today's technology to our advantage so the original sharer does the least amount of work possible?

awesome idea. i'd love to hear that stuff and burn it to CD. most preferable, probably, would be to upload the mp3s on someone's own server so we don't have to create yet another "free registration" in our lives or have a deadline to go grab the stuff before it gets dumped off a 3rd party site. SOMEONE out there in radio geekdom HAS to have their own server...or access to one, right people??
