Cops get booted off of 2M for obscenities

http://www.theindychannel.com/news/18778493/detail.html

Of anyone to swear over a radio, you wouldnt think it would be cops!! (Who know thats frowned upon (They figured no one would care (They should have picked 11m if they were so inclined on swearing over the air (They might not care on that band (Even though they should)))))

Totally sad......

Whats the big thrill with swearing on the air??

AM use on the high end of 75 meters is still happening, but not nearly as common as it was just a few years ago. I still AM on the high end of 40 meters with some regularity, however. Also, you will hear AM being used on 160 meters most nights.

Yeah I remember about 20 years ago there were still a decent group of hams still using AM on 3.975.
Have heard some on 160, but not 40.

The last I heard was that a number of those cops have earned or are working on earning their Tech licenses.

Pretty common here in the NE on 3885 and there abouts. I use a DX-100 but haven't been on for a while, been quite noisy on 75 and 160 this summer. Wow, is this an old thread.
