All the stations were there, but they showed due respect for the location and the occasion. They were there to report what was happening, not to make themselves part of the story, nor to promote themselves at the expense of the occasion.
What V-103 did was disrespectful, to the Kings, to the mourners, and to other reporters who were down there acting professionally. What visitors saw, and heard, was a media event, blasting through the speakers of V-103, and that made ALL the media look like they didn't care.
It was beyond tacky. And Mrs. King and the people who came there to pay their proper respects deserved better.
PS Just hypothetically. If a non-urban station had done it, and V had not, they'd be the first to scream how that station had dissed the Kings. If you think I'm wrong, so be it. But I'm not.
