corey and jay show

I missed the explination Monday.. What happened to Jay?? I called and and Corey said it was one of those 'personal reasons' things and that they talked about it some Monday. Does anybody have any more info

According to RAMP:

Big Gig In Little Rock

Half of the long-running Corey & Jay morning show at Clear Channel Rock KDJE (100.3 The Edge)/Little Rock is now M.I.A. as co-host Jay Hamilton exits to pursue some other opportunities. His partner Corey Deitz will roll solo for now as Edge PD Jeff Cage fires off a flare to attract the attention of a new co-host. "Jay just decided to move on from his morning show, and we are sorry to see him go, but we are glad Corey will remain," Cage tells RAMP. Corey and Jay had been together for a remarkable 23 years, working in Richmond, VA and Cleveland before landing in Little Rock 14 years ago.

KDJE is now seriously searching for a new co-host who has previous experience relating to dudes in the 18-34 and 25-54 demos. Digital production experience, social networking skills, and the ability to command attention at events are important. You must demonstrate a command of pop culture, music, movies, television and current affairs, ranging from politics to world news. The Edge is looking someone who is edgy (no pun intended) and can think on his or her feet. The show is extremely topical and daily show prep is a must, as is the ability to create funny bits, humorous anecdotes and to exhibit a real and dynamic personality. A strong understanding of revenue and client relationships as well as Arbitron ratings methodology is required. A college degree is preferred and NexGen experience is a plus. This is a rare chance to break into a thriving Top 100 market and be part of Little Rock's top rated Rock station. Interested applicants for this EOE position should email resume and mp3 aircheck/production samples to [email protected] or just plain mail it to Jeff Cage, Clear Channel, 10800 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, AR 72204.
