Cori James to the Morning Ritual

Not sure about Colin, but I do know they wanted someone completely different than Chuck.
 
Heather was so cute and seemed like such a nice person. She did a good job on that show.
Guess I won't be listening to the Edge anytime soon.
 
This is another classic example of putting someone on a station that probably doesn't like the music they play or the station.
 
??? I don't understand why this is a classic example?? She previously did overnights at KUPD. The music isn't that much of a stretch from The Edge. It's not like she's coming from Gospel or Classic Country! How do you know she doesn't like that kind of music, or the station?

I have it on good authority that Cori James is a HUGE polka fan and has all of the Lawrence Welk Shows on DVD. ;)

Anyhow, thank goodness for VU meters so you can turn the studio monitors off when you don't like the music. ::)

Does it matter who joins? I think Chuck is great but with that signal he will never be a big part of valley radio. Free FM needs to go back to playing music and take Chuck and the crew over there and then RBG can do what they want to do and that is put Power on both 98.3 and 103.9 so they can maybe get some ratings! THE SIGNAL WAS BAD 5 years ago....3 years ago.... 1 year ago and will be 10 years from now! IT DOES NOT MATTER!

I loved listening to Chuck Powell when he was on KZON. He was fresh and fun back then. Now, in my opinion, not so much. Maybe it's the signal, maybe it's his crew, but I just don't enjoy him as much.

When I think of fun, off-the-cuff, fun morning shows, I think of John Holmberg and Brady Bogan. Sure, the humor is juvenille, but I likes it. ;D

Oh, and who can forget Dave Pratt when he was on KUPD. Now that was fun! (Not so much on KMLE, though.)
 
I think Chuck is great...But I mean really. The station needs to be blowen up...it is old and dead! It maybe the worst station in the valley. bring on a new alt rock station....bring back the zone.

IDEA:

BRING BACK 101.5 + Some of the staff at the Edge... AM Chuck Powell - Mid - Robin Nash - PM Big O and Dukes - "night cap of music" hosted by that guy CP and the other guy...I think it is shaperio. I like when I hear them - bring back the old 1999 voice guy from the edge I think he was a dj to..his name started an M. Find the PD or a pd of The Edge from like 1996 or 1997 and make a good alt. station again!
 
She's a great talent, but I don't think she's cut out for morning radio. She's not that amusing. I liked Heather alot better. I wish she would have come back after she had her baby. Just because Cory's not a morning jock doesn't mean she's crap; it just means that every jock has their niche. Would you have placed Dennis Huff from KUPD on a morning show? No. That's why Pete Cummings @ KSLX failed in the morning over @ KDKB. He's just not a morning guy. He's an afternoon, evening guy.
