Corm and the Coach...you blew it!

Look it's being dealt with...nuff said.

Louie, we understand, you are towing the company line. Very understandable. You did the same when you were with Nebcast...and we all know that place is a joke. You are getting paid, you have to spin it in a way that looks good for the company. Somewhere in the middle is the truth.

Folks, everyone who was involved the first time around took a chance that the station would work. It obviously didn't. They couldn't produce enough revenue to justify the expenses. Cormier and Company can't throw darts totally at the owner because their presence didn't bring the ad dollars to the table which they assumed it would. There was some mutual trust and promises made by both sides. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. Problem was, the station had 2nd tier talk programming on a limited signal and their anchor morning show simply wasn't nearly as big as it used to be or Cormier believes it is.

RC:

You don't know me... I'm no line tower. That's why I became an owner (WKDR 1990-2000) to remove obstacles and work in a BS free environment. I never towed the line at Champlain Radio Group... All I ever said is I liked the then GM and kind of got a kick out of my Job. I use my real name on this board, and I have a fairly accomplished career and an excellent reputation because I am in radio for the work and not the BS.

Those guys had a good deal... and the money ran out. They decided to keep going in spite of that. It's the leap of faith entrepreneurs take everyday... It's the double edged sword of being in a venture. It's the world of giving a performance that goes beyond the time you are in the air.

I'm on the inside... I know the story. I'm not here to shred anyone, just to tell the truth. I know these guys are going to get paid because I have voluntarily made personal sacrifices to see to it that it happens sooner rather than later. I am willing to take a leap of faith... Because unlike the anonymous muck hurlers who like to spew venom on this board I am willing to create things and try things fully aware that there are no guarantees. I've owned a few businesses so I understand the journey of entrepreneurship.

I respect Corm because he tried to create something... It failed... But trying is very respectable. Close to 4000 readers of this thread are interested in the fact that Corm tried. I'd rather try and fail than be an anonymous malcontent throwing stones.

I could have decided to be anonymous here but it has been my experience that anonymity removes humanity. I have been through too much to loose my humanity... But I guess a lot of you guys haven't.

You guys should be cheering me on because I am you... only with more heart and bigger balls.

Louie

It took me a bit to understand what was intended in that post....you mean "deferred" compensation. "Differed" had me scratching my head...

I’m dyslexic and occasionally make spelling errors… but that has never stopped me from being an accomplished communicator. What has me scratching my head is why a man who left broadcasting in the 80s to promote an agricultural product cares about all of this flimshaw?

I owe you an apology for my needlessly snarky comments about spelling/grammar. That it prompted you to have to reveal your issues with dyslexia only doubles my embarrassment. I'm sorry.

I appreciate your apology… Made it public myself years ago… It’s not an issue, just a challenge that I have for the most part overcome and has made me stronger in other ways… I’m thankful to have made a good hand out of the cards that I’ve been dealt. Thank you again for your apology.

Great to see some gentlemanly behavior on this board......by the way, Louie, you and I met once. You initially thought I was Tom Van Sant! :D

Curious... why is this thread still active? You have 3 people in the world that give a rats ass about Vermont Radio and they are all using alias's to talk to themselves. What a bunch of 'who cares' crap. Please stop this thread or keep in the Peoples Republic of Vermin-mont.

Are you one of those three people? Then why are you here?

Nostalgia, I guess.
