Had no idea where to post this! Anyway, is Corner Gas still aired on WGN? The show is BRILLIANT! Great Canadian humor, no laugh track, perfect characters, wonderful stories, and just a breath of fresh air. Just got n NETFLIX and ordered every season.

WGN America currently is airing "Corner Gas" at midnight (ET) Monday through Thursday, although I believe that could be changing in the near future. (I know there are a few schedule tweaks forthcoming.) I agree with what you said about the show. It's well written and hilarious! Our northern neighbors did a bang-up job with this sitcom.

The show is ending its run on the CTV, having shot their final episode about a month ago. Brent Butt decided to go out on top. The last new episode to be shown here will probably be sometime early next summer.

WGN usually (but not always) shows Corner Gas at 8-9 PM Eastern on Wednesday followed by Becker. I wonder how many episodes there are of C. G.? Great show!

According to their schedule WGN is going to show Bob & Tom in the midnight time slot where Corner Gas and Becker have been in beginning Nov. 3, and CG will be pushed back to 1:30 AM ET. I don't know yet whether I'll like Bob & Tom, but I don't like CG being pushed back that late. :-\

Thanks to all for the info. Sorry to hear that the run is ending, however, at least they won't "jump the shark". Actually, that would be a funny final episode. Seriously, Butt and the cast are simply brilliant.

Talk is that the props and sets were stored as there maybe either a made for TV movie or motion picture in 2 years time.

Having made a few trips to the praries, the humour and characterization is dead on.

Now I haven't seen all the episodes, but one thing struck me.

I haven't seen one episode shot during the winter....

Great observation. The location shots must all have been in the summer.

As someone who's mentioned this on the blog...

The rumor going around is that WGN America does not have rights to the final season (6) that's airing in Canada now, and does not intend on showing Corner Gas past the season 1-5 repeats they're pushing later into the night starting this coming month.

Does this imply that someone else is shooting for the rights to season 6 in the US?

Haven't heard a thing about someone going after S6.

I'm guessing the chances are pretty small, since it's only a single year, with the show shutting down after the season. I wouldn't be surprised if the only way to watch the last season (aside from driving to an area where you can get CTV) would be via the DVD, whenever it comes out.

All of this rumbling about WGN America comes from folks getting E-Mail responses from the channel's audience relations folks.
