Corporate FM - The Feature Film

I want to see this movie!

Then pay for it. What you saw was a sales pitch for a movie in development. They need $30K to get it done. They're 10% of the way there. Here's the rest of the story:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/898777756/corporate-fm-the-feature-film?ref=card

Because banks aren't loaning money, and no one is providing seed money any more, kickstarter is providing grass roots funding for music, movies, and other content projects. So many people resent big media, but they don't do anything about it. Let's see if people actually put their money where their mouth is.

Having said all that, there's absolutely nothing this movie can do to change the current media situation. It's a way to fire up the base, to preach to the converted, but it won't lead to any change, because at the end of the day, it's still all about money. That's the American system of broadcasting.

It would be easier to mass duplicate it and send it to colleges and groups. With a study or description guide, with donations to cover costs. Gonna need much more than 30K for nationwide screen distribution.

His first victim was Detroit.

Some see this destroyer as a hero...

It always depends on whose ox is being gored. This certainly looks like a cause on which he'd be on the side of many posters here, even some who hated his take on the auto industry, fast food or 9/11. The trailer we've been watching looks like his work -- disgusted "little guys," crass, cynical talk from corporate types. All that's missing is the sarcastic humor and ironic music.

And the backers of "Roger and Me" and "Supersize Me" weren't worried about losing product-placement dollars from Ford and Wendy's down the road? What would, say, Fox or Dreamworks fear from a movie that skewers Clear Channel, which isn't even in the movie business? Especially since none of Moorer's films so far have succeeded in truly destroying anything. They just make money.

None of that has anything to do with this film, which is being financed independently through Kickstarter, rather than a corporate movie company.
