The advent of iPod radio will kill radio in the long run. You take away the human element and you take away it's heart & soul, and that's what seems to be happening. Radio has always been more than just the music, it's the personalities that listeners attach to, ie: The Wolfman, Larry Lujak, The Real Don Steele, Rich Brother Robbin and yes the Ed Alexander's, Alan Michaels & Jim Bednarek's as well, that live, eat & breathe the community they dedicate themselves to. Corporate bean counters do not understand this and in the long run it will be their downfall. In this day and age of uncertainty, it just seems really foolish to take away one more thing that listeners count on and yes, really rely on every day and that's that voice, that person that's been a constant in their lives. Do that, and listeners will go looking elsewhere for that sense of security. The music???..that can be downloaded anytime, but the talent, that's not available on i-tunes.
