Corpus Christi's modern rock "The Shark" is harpooned

Best of luck to the new station!

Too bad it was short lived. The station wasn't even an alternative station like 101X in Austin, The Buzz in Houston, or 103.3 the App in San Antonio. You got your 90's alternative and some 2000s, but I don't consider Maroon 5, Pink, or Nico Vinz as alternative. Sorry Corpus but I don't see a total loss of that station.

The shark never seemed to have direction as far as the format was concerned.

If the Shark played bands like Cage the Elephant, Awolnation, Arctic Monkeys, Florence and the Machine, Robert Delong, among others, the station could've had some direction to go through. In my opinion, playing Daft Punk, Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive," Fun, Avicii, along with your typical RHCP, Green Day, and Blink 182 does not make your station alternative. That sounds more like a Hot AC/Adult Top 40/Adult Hits station.

Sounds like a long and complicated story over there with all those flips and LMA snags...

I have it on good authority that the LMA is over and Withers is operating the station. (Apparently Withers Chose Shark over rig). Word is their sales manager has taken another position with an area group.
