Corpus Radio

Wow Corpus radio is much better or at least I think!!, I havnt been down in the area in a while, but wow, its almost like what San antonio radio use to be they even have a really good hiphop show. and a great dance // hiphop show.

They sounded good I didnt listen to them very long though.

It seems as if Corpus has something for everyone.
1. A good hip-hop/dance station (z-95)
2. A top-notch country station (K-99)
3. A country station that skews older (KFTX)
4. A station for Metal Heads (C-101)
5. One of the best oldies stations around (KMXR)
6. A good Hot AC station (Beach 96.5)
7. A decent Americana/Texas Music outlet (KBSO)
8. A tejano station that actually does well (KSAB)
9. 2 News/Talk stations (KKTX,KEYS)
10. A good sports talk station with a pretty good local show (ESPN-1230)
11. A religious station with a signal that covers most of Texas (KCTA)
12. Jake

The only thing missing from Corpus is "Recuerdo". I know KUNO-AM recently flipped to a form of Recuerdo, but this is a format that has been having quite a bit of success lately and is in need of an FM outlet in CC. I may be reaching here, but COULD there be the possibility of a "Recuerdo 103.7"?????
KOUL is a heritage Country station (First C&W station on the FM band in the Coastal Bend- they signed on in about 1973) But they have been K-99's whipping boy for many years and have been getting trounced by not only K-99, but KFTX as well. Just a thought.

You also forgot a great oldies station, I love corpus radio I'm just not around it much often. They even have a texas music channel as well.

haha oops you did say about the oldies station & the texas music station I gues I should of read closer before I posted. :)

I agree...corpus radio beats the pants out of SA radio

You must be high, drunk, or something. Cause no sober person would ever think that.

Well, I've only been to San Antonio a couple of times so I don't really know if their radio is good or not but I have been to corpus a lot and let me tell you, their Radio is really good. The listeners there have a wide variety of music. Every time I am in South Texas, I always listen to Corpus Radio, even when I am closer to the Valley or to Victoria. That Corpus Radio MAY possibily be better than San Antonio.

Just goes to show how bad San Antonio radio really is when people think Corpus radio is good! Although I would take KISS over C101 anyday.

Have anyone listened to a station down in Corpus called 102.9 da bomb?

na I'm as sober as a fox. And I will still stick to the fact that Corpus has better radio than SA. I did enjoy C101 in the 90s because back in the 90s KISS used to play Journey. Now they stuck to the harder rock. Gee I sure wish we could get some freakin' alternative here. Jake is a cool station. And I really really really love their oldies station because it seems like they're not conforming to the "hits of the 60s and 70s" format. But then I went to Prague, Czech Republic and heard a WODERFUL [American & UK] oldies station that played 50s music

Perhaps you're the one that's drunk or high, because the ones on here that think CC radio is better than SA at least give reasons for the way they think. Unlike you, who just gives a lame "you're drunk or high" explanation.

Come on, if you think SA radio is better than Corpus, tell us WHY!!!!!!
