Corus Launches VIVA

VIVA goes live on Monday, November 3, 2008.

"Targeting women 40 - 64, VIVA will be the "go-to" television destination for women looking for entertainment that celebrates, inspires and guides them. With a focus on intelligent dramas, critically-acclaimed films and contemporary lifestyle programming, this is television for women with an enthusiasm for growth, learning and a passion for new found interests."

(Cosmopolitan TV and W Network also target women, and are also owned by Corus)

I guess if Alberta's "ACCESS" can become a de facto "A" network affiliate, why not let CLT become VIVA?

VIVA will likely carry a similar amount of "how to" programming in any case, and it's easy enough to put an educational veneer on the rest.
