Cost of a Superbowl Commercial

Why is it, every year they make a big deal over the cost of a 30 Second Commercial during the Superbowl. This year it is reportedly $4 million dollars. The cost increases every year.

Next year they will be freaking out when it is probably going to be $4.2 Million.
