Costner leaving WSJS

It appears the news was broken to the staff yesterday! WSJS News Director Bob Costner is leaving after close to 20 years with the station. He will asume the position of Managing Editor and Senior Reporter for News 14 Carolina's Greensboro operation!

Who will be the replacement?

Nothing brewing since the CC deal fell through. Problems with the Buffalo part of the deal. Could come back to life, but things have been very quiet!

I just have this feeling that Centenniel will come in and get it. CBS has to be really motivated at this point to dump SJS-SML and MFR.

Motivated because the station and market no longer fits their model .. however, not in a panic mode because WSJS is still profitable. I would love to see Centennial get it. That would be a great local operator and help bring the SJS back to its credible image of not long ago.

Good for Bob Costner.....thats a great move for him.

Remember that time change is this weekend...dont forget to reset your time instrument.

One of the funniest "oopsies" I have heard. Good luck to Bob!

Anyone catching Costner's swansong? Because there is no one else capable, SJS has Costner spending his last days being a talk show host - interviewing candidates for next Tuesday's election! Frankly, he has done a respectable job of it - at least what I have heard! Bob may have missed his calling!
