"COUGAR TOWN" RETURN = LOWEST SERIES RATING EVER

I watched Cougar Town when it originally aired and almost instantly put it on my "must not see" list. I am surprised it has lasted as long as it has but it is clear the network is scraping the bottom of the barrel for a replacement.

Yeah. What mnradiofan said. It is imperative that we know just how junky the junky Cougar Town is. ;D

The original pilot and handful of beginning episodes were god awful and for that I cannot fault you for tuning out and never returning. However, the premise was quickly retooled 6 episodes in to where the show itself does not have anything to do with it's title anymore. The creator, (Scrubs' Bill Lawerence) has even said as much many many times and really would like to change the show's title. It's now an ensemble comedy that is unfortunately still attached to a horrible show title that is more or less only passively referred to in a one-off throwaway line every few episodes. The show's title card makes fun of it every show.

I doubt I'm going to make you a convert and to resample the show again but Cougar Town has nothing to do with a 40-something trying to bed college guys.

You know it's a bad sign when the Cougars from the San Diego Zoo drove up to picket NBC and threaten to sue for defamation to their species

:D now thats funny!

Cougar town was pretty god awful, I did give it a chance for a while though.

It's Courtney Cox. Doing something. In a show with a vaguely racy title.

Hell, we don't even know what it's about.
But did we mention, it's Courtney Cox?

No need. The high school's sports teams are the Cougars. That was made very clear in the pilot.

Me too, but only because Courteney looked so good and I liked her character. The problem was I hated everyone else and most of the plots. And the retooling didn't help.
