"Cough Drops" Responsible For Anchor's Drunken-like Parade Coverage

Last weekend at Tampa's annual Gasparilla parade, WFLA/8 anchor Gayle Guyardo, who had missed a few days of regular work prior to the parade due to a flu and a fever, fought it and went on with the show.

Unfortunately, she sounded as if she were under the influence of Smirnoff and not Sudafed...

The below article states "She said she had not consumed alcohol, cold medication or anything stronger than cough drops."

You be the judge. The audio I heard on yesterday's Cowhead show was pretty brutal...

I believe it. For example if you're only taking the recommended amount of cough syrup nothing will happen but if you chug like two bottles in a depserate frenzy to feel better quicker you will start getting high off the stuff. Back in high school we called it robo-tripping, though it wasn't as rampant of a problem as it is now.
